CHARLES TOWN, WV, May 20, 2020—American Public University System (APUS)), a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Public Education, Inc. (APEI), today announced the appointment of William G. Robinson, Jr., president of Broadgate Human Capital, LLC, to its board of trustees.

Boston, president. “His business insight has proven invaluable through his complementary role on the APEI board of directors and will help us to further strengthen our established leadership in educating public servants and servicemembers.”
At Broadgate Human Capital, Robinson currently provides management consulting services focused on value creation through excellence in human resources. In his previous role as executive vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO) for Sabre, he was a key executive in taking the company public. He also served as CHRO for Coventry Healthcare, a $14B publicly-traded healthcare insurance company.
Robinson was a 20-year veteran of the General Electric Company where, as a member of the Human Resources Executive Council, he held leadership roles in diverse industries including HR Head for the Enterprise Solutions division of five global standalone business units. In addition to APEI, he also serves as a board member for Must Ministries and the Wake Forest University Athletics Deacon Club. He holds a MA in human resources development from Bowie State University and a BA in communications from Wake Forest University.
