Ms. Maria Guerrero serves as the Vice President of Finance. In this role, she assesses the financial viability of new projects and initiatives and supports the business with all the financial planning and budgeting processes.
Ms. Guerrero joined APUS in early 2024. Previously, she served as the Director of Financial Planning for Higher Ed International and Ilumno (the largest online program manager in Latin America).
Ms. Guerrero has a strong background in financial management and analysis, strategic planning, and business development. She has successfully led and implemented various projects to improve the financial performance and operational efficiency for higher ed institutions and OPM Business in Europe, Latin America, and Africa. She is passionate about delivering high-quality education and learning solutions to students around the world.
Ms. Guerrero’s responsibilities have historically included cash management, financial consolidation, financial planning, and financial valuation.
Previously, as a Senior Consultant, she participated in international projects across various sectors such as packing, printing, logistics, and hospitality, where she focused on improving operations Eeficiency and managing costs.
A native of Colombia, Ms. Guerrero has a MEng in production engineering from the University Nove de Julho in São Paulo, Brazil and a BS in the same field from Autonoma de Occidente University in Colombia.
She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
