Dan Roby is the Vice President of AMU Brand Expansion and Business Development. He oversees AMU Brand Management, encompassing the B2B, Military/Veteran and International markets.
A retired Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Roby has served in roles with increasing responsibilities since he started at APUS in 2005. He is widely known in the military education community for his expertise and professionalism, and currently serves on the Council of College and Military Education (CCME).
Mr. Roby’s teams have been instrumental in APUS maintaining its position as the top provider of education to active-duty military and veterans for several consecutive years. Additionally, he and his department played a pivotal role in APUS being named the Institution of the Year for 2024 by CCME.
Mr. Roby has worked at every level of the APUS military outreach program in the field, starting as an education coordinator for part of the southeast region.
Mr. Roby earned an M.A. in Management with a concentration in organizational leadership from American Military University, and has a B.S. in HR Management from Columbia Southern University. Additionally, he holds two AS degrees from the Community College of the Air Force.
During his military career, Mr. Roby completed every level of Enlisted Professional Military Education to include the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (Honor Graduate).
